Terms of Service

Last updated: Tuesday 11th August 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating a Consuna account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not create an account or use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Consuna is a household meal planning application that generates weekly meal plans, recipes, and shopping lists tailored to the dietary preferences, allergens, and needs of everyone in your household at once. The Service is provided by Consuna Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17341691 ("Consuna", "we", "us", "our").

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Consuna account. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Consuna is not intended for direct use by children. Where you create a profile within your household for a child, that profile is created and managed by you as the account holder, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not independently verify your age. By creating an account, you are representing to us that the information you have provided, including your age, is accurate.

4. Your Account and Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including any device or email account used to access it. You agree to notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of all information entered into your account, including information entered on behalf of household members or dependents, such as dietary preferences, allergens, and dislikes. Consuna relies entirely on the information you provide to generate meal plans and cannot verify its accuracy independently — see Section 6 (Allergy and Ingredient Disclaimer) for further detail on how this affects your use of the Service.

5. Free Trial

New accounts receive 14 days of full access to Consuna's household and premium features, free of charge and without requiring payment details at signup. No payment method is collected or charged during this period.

At the end of the 14-day trial, you will need to select a paid subscription plan and provide payment details in order to continue using the Service. Your trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription, and you will not be charged unless you actively choose a plan and complete payment. If you do not select a plan, your access to plan-editing features (such as generating or editing meal plans and shopping lists) will be paused until you subscribe; your account and existing data are retained and become accessible again once you subscribe.

6. Allergy and Ingredient Disclaimer

Consuna generates meal plans and recipe suggestions based on the dietary preferences, allergens, and dislikes you enter for your household. This filtering is provided as a convenience to help you plan meals, and does not replace your own judgement or verification.

You are solely responsible for checking the actual ingredients, labels, and preparation of any food before cooking, serving, or consuming it, particularly where a household member has a severe allergy or intolerance. Recipe data within Consuna, including ingredient lists, may not reflect real-time changes to product formulations, manufacturing processes, or cross-contamination risks.

Consuna is not responsible for any illness, allergic reaction, or other harm resulting from inaccurate information entered by you, a failure to verify ingredients independently before consumption, or changes to product formulation, manufacturing, or cross-contamination risk outside our knowledge or control. This does not limit Consuna's liability for harm caused by our own failure to correctly apply dietary or allergen information that was accurately entered into the Service, which is addressed in Section 16.

7. Not Medical or Dietary Advice

Consuna is a meal planning tool and does not provide medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Nothing in the Service should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor, dietitian, or other healthcare professional. If you or a household member has a medical condition, severe allergy, or specific dietary requirement, you should consult an appropriate professional before relying on Consuna to manage that condition.

8. Recipe Accuracy

Recipe information, including preparation times, cooking times, serving sizes, and any nutritional estimates, is provided for general guidance only and may not be fully accurate. Actual results may vary based on factors including equipment, ingredient substitutions, and individual technique.

9. Third-Party Retailer Links

The Service may include links or references to third-party grocery retailers to help you shop for ingredients. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their pricing, availability, product accuracy, or the quality of your experience with them. Any purchase made through a third-party retailer is subject to that retailer's own terms.

10. Household Profiles and Parental Responsibility

Where you create a profile within your household for another person, including a child, you confirm that you have the authority to do so and that you are responsible for the accuracy of the information entered, including dietary preferences, allergens, and dislikes. This responsibility applies regardless of whether the profile belongs to an adult or a child household member, and continues for as long as that profile exists within your account.

11. Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded the Service from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply and take precedence over any conflicting term in these Terms.

  • This agreement is between you and Consuna only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.

  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service.

  • In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for the Service; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service.

  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service, including product liability claims, claims that the Service fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection law.

  • Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, or discharge of any claim that the Service infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.

  • You must comply with any applicable third-party agreement terms when using the Service.

  • Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

12. Google Play Terms

If you downloaded the Service from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights you have, or restrict any rights Google grants you, under Google Play's own terms.

13. Subscription and Billing

Consuna offers the following subscription plans:

  • Individual — £3.49/month or £34.90/year, for 1 household profile

  • Household — £3.99/month or £39.90/year, for up to 2 household profiles

  • Family — £4.99/month or £49.90/year, for up to 6 household profiles

All subscriptions are billed in advance and automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you subscribed, and is subject to their respective payment terms. We do not directly process or store your payment card details.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period, except as described in Section 14.

14. Your Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer in the UK, you have a right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Because Consuna provides digital content and services that begin as soon as your subscription starts, this right is lost once you have started using paid features within that 14-day period, but only where you have taken a separate, explicit step (distinct from your general acceptance of these Terms) to confirm both that you want the paid features to start immediately and that you understand you are giving up your cancellation right by doing so. If you have not taken that step, your right to cancel within the 14 days remains available even if you have started using the Service.

To exercise this right, or to ask about a refund, contact us using the details in Section 25, or use the refund request process provided by Apple or Google directly, since purchases are processed through their platforms.

15. Refunds

Because payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds are subject to their respective refund policies, and we are not able to directly issue a refund on their behalf. We encourage you to review Apple's or Google's refund process if you wish to request one.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the paragraph below, Consuna's total liability to you for any single claim arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) £100.

This limit does not apply to, and Consuna's liability is not capped in relation to: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any liability arising from allergen or dietary information that was accurately entered into the Service but not correctly applied by Consuna in generating a meal plan or recipe; or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Consuna harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from: your breach of these Terms; your fraudulent or unlawful misuse of the Service; or your provision of dietary, allergen, or household member information that you knew, or ought reasonably to have known, was inaccurate at the time you entered it.

This indemnity does not apply to ordinary mistakes or omissions in the information you provide, which are addressed instead in Section 6 (Allergy and Ingredient Disclaimer) and Section 4 (Your Account and Responsibilities).

18. Intellectual Property

Consuna and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its branding, design, and underlying software. You retain ownership of any content you input into the Service, such as household profile information or custom recipes, where that feature is available.

19. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service;

  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service;

  • Misuse any shared or community features, where available;

  • Attempt to circumvent any subscription or payment mechanism.

20. No Guarantee of Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and functioning correctly, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our reasonable control.

21. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, including for the reasons described in Section 19. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

23. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern or dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at the details in Section 25 so we can try to resolve it informally. If we are unable to resolve it this way, either party may bring the matter before the courts of England and Wales as described in Section 22.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post any updates on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

Where a change is material, meaning it meaningfully affects your rights, our responsibilities, or how we handle information about you or your household, we will notify you in-app, describing what has changed, before or as soon as reasonably possible after the change takes effect. Minor changes, such as corrections, clarifications, or formatting updates that do not affect your rights or our obligations, may be made without individual notification, though the "Last updated" date will always reflect the most recent version.

For changes significant enough to affect the core basis on which you agreed to use the Service, for example, a change to how we handle special category data such as allergen or dietary information, or a material change to our liability to you, we will ask you to re-confirm your acceptance before you can continue using the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any other notified change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Consuna regarding your use of the Service, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.

27. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

28. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where the failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including failures of third-party service providers, internet or telecommunications disruptions, or other events outside our control.

29. No Waiver

If we do not enforce a right or provision of these Terms on any occasion, this does not mean we waive that right or provision, and we may still enforce it at a later time.

30. Notices

We may provide notices to you via the email address associated with your account or through an in-app notification. It is your responsibility to keep your account email address up to date.

31. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Consuna, you agree that we may use them freely, without any obligation to compensate you or attribute them to you, to improve or develop the Service.

32. Assignment

We may transfer or assign our rights and obligations under these Terms, for example if Consuna is acquired, merged, or restructured, without requiring your consent. You may not transfer or assign your account or these Terms to anyone else without our prior written consent.
